ImageUpWP ("ImageUpWP", "the Extension", "we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to upload images downloaded from supported websites directly to a WordPress website selected and configured by the user.
ImageUpWP is designed with privacy in mind. We do not operate a server that stores your downloaded images, WordPress credentials, browsing history, or WordPress content.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ImageUpWP accesses, how that information is used, where information is stored, and when information may be transmitted to third-party services.
ImageUpWP allows users to send supported downloaded images to their own WordPress websites.
The Extension currently supports images downloaded from:
The availability of these integrations depends on the ImageUpWP plan being used.
The Free version of ImageUpWP includes support for uploading images downloaded from Google Gemini to WordPress.
A valid ImageUpWP Premium license unlocks additional supported websites, including:
Premium licenses are purchased and managed through Freemius.
ImageUpWP accesses only information reasonably necessary to provide its image-to-WordPress functionality.
Depending on the features you use, this may include:
When you choose to upload an image to WordPress, ImageUpWP may access the selected or recently downloaded image so that it can be transferred to the WordPress website you configured.
ImageUpWP does not upload copies of these images to servers controlled by the ImageUpWP publisher.
The image is transferred to the WordPress website selected by the user.
ImageUpWP may detect when you are using a supported website, such as Gemini, ChatGPT, VistaCreate, Piktochart, or Creative Fabrica, in order to enable the Extension's image upload functionality.
The Extension may access limited information from the active page when necessary to identify or process an image that the user chooses to upload.
ImageUpWP does not collect or maintain a history of the websites you visit for advertising, profiling, analytics, or behavioral tracking purposes.
To upload images to WordPress, users provide information such as:
This information is used solely to authenticate with the WordPress website selected by the user and perform requested operations such as uploading an image to the WordPress Media Library.
For purposes of the Chrome Web Store Privacy Practices disclosure, ImageUpWP may handle the following categories of user data:
Authentication Information
ImageUpWP uses the WordPress username and WordPress Application Password provided by the user to authenticate directly with the user's configured WordPress website. These credentials are used only to perform user-requested WordPress operations.
Website Content
ImageUpWP may access image content and limited page information from supported websites when necessary to identify and process an image for a user-requested upload to WordPress.
ImageUpWP does not use this information for advertising, behavioral profiling, cross-site tracking, or unrelated analytics.
Your WordPress Application Password is stored locally on the device where ImageUpWP is installed and is protected using appropriate security measures.
ImageUpWP does not send your WordPress Application Password to servers owned or operated by the ImageUpWP publisher.
When you initiate an upload, the credential is transmitted directly from the Extension to the WordPress website you configured solely for the purpose of authenticating the requested WordPress operation.
Authentication credentials are transmitted only over secure HTTPS connections.
Users should create a dedicated WordPress Application Password for ImageUpWP rather than using their primary WordPress account password.
You can revoke the Application Password at any time from your WordPress user profile.
ImageUpWP may store extension settings locally on your device so that you do not need to enter the same configuration every time you use the Extension.
Locally stored information may include:
This information is used to provide ImageUpWP functionality.
ImageUpWP does not maintain a publisher-operated cloud database containing your WordPress credentials or uploaded images.
Removing ImageUpWP from your browser may remove Extension data stored by the browser, subject to Chrome's own storage behavior.
When you instruct ImageUpWP to upload an image, the image may be processed locally by the Extension and transmitted to the WordPress website you configured.
The ImageUpWP publisher does not receive or store a copy of the image as part of this process.
Once an image has been uploaded to your WordPress website, its storage and processing are controlled by your WordPress hosting provider, WordPress configuration, installed plugins, CDN services, or other services associated with that website.
You are responsible for the privacy and security configuration of your WordPress website.
ImageUpWP uses Freemius to provide licensing, payment processing, subscriptions, license activation, and related premium-product functionality.
When you purchase, activate, manage, or validate an ImageUpWP Premium license, information necessary to provide those services may be transmitted to and processed by Freemius.
ImageUpWP does not directly store your payment card information.
Purchases, subscriptions, license management, and related information processed by Freemius are subject to the Freemius Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and applicable Freemius data-processing practices.
Freemius Privacy Policy:
Freemius operates independently from ImageUpWP with respect to information processed through its licensing, checkout, and account-management systems.
ImageUpWP may process authentication information and website content locally as necessary to provide its functionality, but does not collect or store this information on publisher-operated servers.
ImageUpWP does not build advertising profiles or behavioral profiles about its users.
ImageUpWP does not sell, rent, trade, or broker users' personal information.
Information accessed by the Extension is not used for:

These may include:
Use of those websites and services is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.
ImageUpWP does not control how those third-party services independently collect, process, or store information when you use their websites.
ImageUpWP's ability to interact with a supported website does not imply ownership of, sponsorship by, endorsement by, or affiliation with that website unless expressly stated.
ImageUpWP may request Chrome permissions necessary to perform its disclosed functions.
Depending on the version of the Extension, these permissions may allow ImageUpWP to:

Human access to user data is not permitted except when necessary for security, legal compliance, or when explicitly authorized by the user for support or troubleshooting purposes.
ImageUpWP is designed to minimize the amount of information transmitted outside the user's browser.
Because ImageUpWP does not maintain publisher-operated servers containing users' WordPress credentials or uploaded images, we do not maintain a publisher-side retention period for this information.
